Signing Off: Pigafetta Sails Into NYC This Friday, Dies of Scurvy.

Well friends, it is almost over. My fund draining, spirit raising, 20+ event year-long book tour is winding down in New York at Earshot this Friday. FB invitation here. Come if you can.

Afterwards, I’ll be hanging up my spurs / melting my pillaged icons into ore  / shooting myself into space / or something along these lines

No more readings…

at least for a few months. In the meanwhile, I’m going to try to complete some things.

I know I’m supposed to be pithy in writing blog posts. Instead, let me just thank again all those people that had me on their couches this last year.  I met a staggering number of big brained and or hearted people. Am looking forward to doing this again.

Adios.

Wade and Sheri Tricked Private High School Students Into Liking Ron Silliman. That puts them in the Poetry Hall of Fame.

Thanks to Dan for putting this together and to the Tome school for having us. I can’t believe how hard you like poetry.

Rooms Is Made of Deer

Rooms Outlast Us/Articles Press made an issue out of an animal. Specifically,   steer hide, deer sinew, 100% cotton paper, and poems by J. Michael Martinez, Elizabeth Winder, Joe Hall and Matthew Savoca.

It’s a work of art (& dead stuff).

& will replace my really really old work boots (printing press, saw mill, plant store, woods) as my favorite leather thing.

See you in Valhalla
